Happy Easter

Happy Easter.
There are plenty of young lambs out in the fields
to let us know spring is here.

Cotswold Calgary

It is a local tradition on Good Friday for local churches to come together and carry a wooden cross to the top of Cam Peak, a prominent local hill, to commemorate the crucifixion of Christ.
The Procession of Witness pauses at various points for readings, hymns and prayers before the cross is erected on the summit on the hill.
A particularly nice sunny spring day brought hundreds of people out today to follow the cross to the peak.

Larks singing in Spring sunshine

A lovely sunny spring day for a walk on Selsley Common this morning where the song of the skylarks filled the air. There was an abundance of larks today on the common .
In the past they were killed for food and there are reports of 40,000 a day being sold for food in London's Leadenhall market, but now they are a protected species.
