Wood Garlic

Wood Garlic is out in the woods right now and we have found many culinary uses including these delicious Cheese and Wild Garlic scones.

The flowers are very pretty and useful to flavour and decoration recipes.
Make the most of it as the season is quite short.

Swallows arriving

They say one swallow does not make a summer but there is far more than one around.
Large numbers are arriving or migrating through at the moment.

Passing migrants

Spring is migration season and this year brought some different species to our bird feeders.
We have very much enjoyed seeing a flock of Redpoll and Siskin from our kitchen window

Cotswold Bluebell Woods

Coaley Wood is looking good as the bluebells and wood anemones are carpeting the woodland floor.
Its a great time to get out and enjoy the springtime spectacle.
